防水补漏原理是利用混凝土本身固有的化学性及多孔性，以水为载体，借助水的渗透作用与混凝土内的化学物质产生反应，顺着或逆着水压方向产生作用，在混凝土微孔及毛细管中传输、充盈、催化混凝土内未完全水化的成份再次发生化学作用，形成不溶性的枝蔓状结晶并与混凝土结合为整体，使任何方向来的水及其他液体被堵塞。
