Characteristics of Water
水是无孔不入的,它借着风压、对流、冲击、附着、毛细等力量,逐渐渗入建筑内部,而且在渗透  的过程不易从表面发觉。换言之,找寻漏水原因必须深入“内脏”分析判断,才能对症下药。[1]

水一旦渗透到建筑物里面,在有限的空间内,等太阳一晒,产生热能,就形成水蒸气,这些水蒸气  产生大量的压力足以破坏原有的防水层,甚至于表面的装璜及饰材(譬如,油漆脱落、壁纸发黑、磁砖鼓  起、木质地板膨鼓)换句话说,一单位的水,如果全部变成水蒸气,在建筑物内部有限度的空间里面,就  产生了1240倍的压力,这个压力的破坏性实在太可怕了。(所以我们时常发现防水胶施工在含水的泡沫水  泥上,不久就整个鼓起剥落了

(so we often find that waterproofing glue is constructed on water containing foam cement, and it soon flake off.
